About the Artist

My name is Lara Dawn Stoudt. I was born and raised in the wide open spaces of Saskatchewan, Canada. I’m a writer, visual artist, and educator. I hold a Master’s Degree in Arts (English) and a diploma in Adult Education.

Lara Dawn Pottery is the result of years of creative practice, including painting, poetry, sculpting, paper art, and many other visual arts. I found clay several years ago, and I delight in trying new forms and techniques. Many of my pieces include hand sculpting and hand painting, often inspired by the natural world around me.

I specialize in making custom mugs and other pieces, including pet portraits, urns, and other custom designs. The best part of the custom design process is collaborating with the customer, each of us contributing to the overall design.
